They usually have a fair amount of troops floating around, plus a 9 unit garrison may force you to bring a stack to capture and keep Minoa. Choosing Request More Time will give you another Decision Screen later though, it won't add another Epic Mission completion though. Just move a spy onto the region you don't need to move your spy all the way to their settlement.Įither Heed the Call (Both recruitment costs 10% more and -5 happiness for 10 turns, +10 Achaean relations) or Request More Time (Both +3 growth and -10% building costs for 10 turns, -10 Achaean relations), either decision will move you onto the next Epic Mission. Any Tier II or III Safe Havens will NOT count towards this Epic Mission.ĭoesn't matter if you've conquered Scheria or remain neutral by turn 16. This HAS to be a Warrior's Lodge or Skirmisher's Camp (Tier I Safe Havens.) It can be built anywhere. (This is only based on Troy though, discussed later below.) Military alliances and vassals don't count. The only one you have to keep for awhile is Minoa so that you can build the Labyrinth Garden (discussed later below.) YOU also have to be the one controlling the city for the game to register as completing the Epic Mission. Once you've captured and occupied the city, the Epic Mission is complete and the game doesn't care anymore if you keep it at the end of your Homeric Victory. It doesn't seem to matter if you keep the cities. NONE of these require Odysseus himself to capture and occupy. So even after turn 100, A Son's Life won't activate until you've completed the previous two Epic Missions. They also all only activate after the previous Epic Mission is completed. So it's fine completing them early, you'll just have to wait to actually be able to check that off your list. That said, it will show that the Epic Mission is completed immediately after it's been given. So even if you've captured Minoa on turn 24, nothing will show up until beginning of turn 30 when the Epic Mission is given to you. It's activated/given to you at the beginning of the listed turn. The Epic Missions seem to be given based on turn #.
